Subbing on “The Notebook” National tour
I had an opportunity to sub for my friend Chris Sutherland on the National Tour of “the Notebook” in June of 2026.
I flew out to Tulsa, OK and played Friday - Sunday at the performing arts center there. The way it worked out, I was actually able to watch the show from the audience on Sunday night which was nice!
It was a great opportunity to play all sorts of percussion - there’s no drumset part in the show!
Instrumentation: Timpani, Concert Bass Drum, Tam Tam, Chimes, Crotales, Vibraphone, Glockenspiel, Roto-Sound, Triangle, Tambourine, 2 Toms, Cajón (mounted), Shaker, Cymbals, Porch Board (foot trigger).
It’s a great show full of emotion and drama, and great songs by Ingrid Michaelson.
