1. Enrollment and Booking Options
Lesson Formats: Rockin Music Lessons offers both in-person and online music instruction.
Pay-Per-Lesson Basis: Individual lessons must be booked and paid for at least 24 hours before the scheduled time slot.
Semester Enrollment: Semester packages reserve a recurring weekly time slot for the entire academic term. Tuition is paid in full upfront or via an agreed-upon monthly installment plan.
Group Class Enrollment: Class times and dates are outlined before each session. Students can choose to pay in full and reserve their spot in the class, or register for any single class at least 24 hours in advance (based on available class spots). Tuition is paid in full upfront or via an agreed-upon monthly installment plan.
2. Payments and Fees
Payment Due: All tuition must be paid in advance of instruction.
Accepted Methods: Payments are accepted via credit card when booking, or via cash/check at the beginning of the lesson or session.
Late Payments: Semester installment payments delayed by more than 5 days will incur a $25 late fee.
3. Cancellation and Attendance Policy
Notice Requirement: You must give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule any lesson. Group classes cannot be rescheduled.
Late Cancellations: Failure to provide the required notice results in the forfeiture of the lesson fee. No refunds or credits are issued.
Punctuality: Lessons start and end at the scheduled times. If a student arrives late, the lesson will not be extended past the original end time.
Teacher Absence: If an instructor cancels, we will provide a qualified substitute, schedule a make-up session, or issue a full credit.
4. Specific Rules for In-Person & Online Learning
In-Person Attendance: Students must respect studio property and instruments. Parents must pick up minor students promptly at the end of class.
Online Attendance: Students must ensure a stable internet connection, functional webcam, and quiet environment.
5. Release of Liability and Media Waiver
Assumption of Risk: By enrolling in classes, you acknowledge that participation in music instruction involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to minor physical strain, repetitive motion injuries, or accidents on the premises. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Liability Release: The instructor/studio assumes no legal or financial responsibility for any personal injury, illness, property damage, or theft sustained by students, parents, or guardians. This absolute release of liability applies across all teaching environments, including:
The instructor's home studio or residential property.
The student's private residence (for home visits).
Third-party commercial locations, rented studios, community centers, or public spaces.
Public or private recital and performance venues.
Travel and Common Areas: This waiver extends to all driveways, walkways, parking lots, waiting areas, and entryways associated with any teaching or performance location.
Media Release: The studio reserves the right to use photographs or video recordings taken during recitals or public events for promotional marketing. You may opt out of this specific media clause in writing before classes begin.
