Jagged Little Pill (musical)

That’s right, a jukebox musical based on the Alanis Morissette’s seminal album Jagged Little Pill. It was the first time I used V-Drums on a musical. I upgraded to a TD516 which was just what the doctor ordered. I was able to rock out as hard as I would in “real life”, and the small, cement-walled pit would not be overwhelmed by drums. I kept one real cymbal to do some rolls on. But the kit even does a pretty good imitation of brushes! And I was able to program all the other samples into the kit so I’m often hitting drums or rims of drums to get various sound effects.
