I didn’t get to play the show, but during Covid I got to play drums for some songs with the San Francisco cast (at Ray of Light Theater) including this one, featuring the one and only Taylor Iman Jones.

I started on Hamilton as a Drumset sub in 2019. I had been subbing for a few months when they offered me the percussion chair. I started on percussion in early 2020, then Covid hit and we went away for a while. The tour finally went out in 2021 with me on percussion. I was out for a full 2 years and played percussion for most of the time, filling in on drums as needed. I moved to drumset at our last stop - 6 months in Toronto, Canada.

This was a really fun show because the music was mostly Bay Area hip-hop!

The beats were made by Will Randolph and I translated his tracks to live drums for this musical.
