“Jagged Little Pill” (the musical)
That’s right, a jukebox musical based on the Alanis Morissette’s seminal album Jagged Little Pill. It was the first time I used V-Drums on a musical. I upgraded to a TD516 which was just what the doctor ordered. I was able to rock out as hard as I would in “real life”, and the small, cement-walled pit would not be overwhelmed by drums.
Demon Slayer In Concert
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba In Concert at the Golden Gate Theater in SF. Played with an 18 piece orchestra along to a screening of some of this popular anime series.
“A Strange Loop” at A.C.T.
We worked with Michael R. Jackson and a team from New York to do this post-broadway regional production of A Strange Loop. This show has great music including 90s rock and gospel, and it was a very talented cast.
“Nobody Loves You” At A.C.T
It was really fun to work with Gaby Alter on his music for this hilarious spoof on dating shows. The book writer was Itamar Moses who wrote The Band’s Visit - one of my favorite shows I’ve seen on Broadway.
“If You Knew” from Lizzie the Musical by Taylor Iman Jones
I didn’t get to play the show, but during Covid I got to play drums for some songs with the San Francisco cast (at Ray of Light Theater) including this one, featuring the one and only Taylor Iman Jones.
